And the final look is . . .
After painting was finished, the notice boards back up and the furniture back in place, this is the final look.
Remarkable what a good clean, a fresh coat of paint and a general tidy up can achieve!

Redecorating our Hut

Spring Clean (for the summer break!)
During the summer (2011) break our hut will be used as a break-out room for the theatrical arts summer school held in the main Dell Lane HQ.
A chance to tidy up, clean up, discover all those things that were hiding behind the settees and cushions, and find how many pens we really did have!
With the seating back around the walls there is lots of space for the budding performers in August, and we hope they enjoy our space.
The plan is for the Rangers to tone down the current paint scheme in the hut at the end of August - a splendid way of adding community work to the Rangers' skill-set.
Perhaps you'd like to consider joining our Ranger Unit - we meet once a fortnight at Dell Lane.
Just leave us a comment and we'll get back to you.

New Outdoor area
The Hall Committee have made significant improvements to the grassed area outside the Ranger HQ this summer, replacing the somewhat rough and uneven worn out grass with a nice level area of artificial lawn, bounded by a new fence and path, and including an area for our barbecues.
It's nice to have an all weather surface literally 'on the doorstep', lit at night. Can't wait for some nice evenings to take advantage of it!

Smart 'new look' Ranger Hut
The summer of 2010 saw the long awaited arrival of the 'Work in the Community' team from the Probation Service, who were tasked to smarten up both our hut and the back storage hut.
Working through 4 Wednesdays they applied two coats of black wood preserver, gave us a nice smart orange front door, and re-puttied and painted the window frames.
With all the wood panelling now being the same colour, and even the window shutters being painted black, the hut now looks a much more cared for place for our weekly meetings.
